The momentum continues to build behind multi-PLATINUM group LANCO’s first-ever headlining HALLELUJAH NIGHTS TOUR as they extend the run with their return overseas in May 2019.

GIN BLOSSOMS--Robin Wilson (lead vocals & guitar), Jesse Valenzuela (vocals & guitar), Scott Johnson (guitar) and Bill Leen (bass)--have announced a new leg of U.S. tour dates in 2019, running from February 8 through March 9. Billed as "New Miserable Experience Live" and presented by the SiriusXM Lithium channel, the tour follows a successful run of dates in 2018 when the band celebrated the 25th anniversary of their multi-platinum album breakthrough album NEW MISERABLE EXPERIENCE by performing it in its entirety, along with other GIN BLOSSOMS classics and more.

Ahead of the impending snow storm, artists, volunteers and fans from all over the country gathered in Asheville, NC, this past weekend for Warren Haynes' 30th Annual Christmas Jam, a two-night, 14-hour music spectacular benefitting the Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity. This year's Jam lived up to its reputation of serving up one-of-kind, surprise collaborations in a big way, including an impromptu one-night-only Pop-Up Snow Jam with Gov't Mule and Dave Grohl last night.

You might say December is unofficially Gil Evans month in the Big Apple, as three exciting events turn the spotlight on this legendary jazz composer, arranger, pianist, and long-time Miles Davis collaborator. On the schedule this month are a lively symposium, the release of the first studio album by the Gil Evans Orchestra in more than four decades, and an all-star CD release gig that’s sure to attract a who’s who of the New York music scene.

Few drummers have had such an illustrious career as Steve Gadd. While the Grateful Web tends to naturally gravitate towards genre-bending, multifarious players, Gadd’s range of original work and cache of collaborations are strikingly diverse. From Simon and Garfunkle’s famed 1981 Concert in Central Park reunion, to Steely Dan’s legendary recording “Aja,” to more recent stints with Eric Clapton and James Taylor, his session portfolio alone is enough to drool over. But Gadd is much more than the man behind the kit.

Formula 5 kicks off Winter Tour at Killington Ski Resort in Vermont, makes three stops in Colorado including their debut at Cervantes Other Side on Valentines Day, and wraps the tour up at Snowshoe Mountain in West Virginia. Additionally, Formula 5 welcomes West End Blend to Putnam Place for a night that will combine the best of Funk and Jam the Northeast has to offer.

And what musical lives they’ve been! Nelson and Cage, both synonymous with many decades of NRPS’ psychedelicized countrified stylings, have entertained concert audiences and home listeners with many, many other bands – Nelson with the David Nelson Band, as well as Old & In the Way, Jerry Garcia Acoustic Band, The Good Old Boys, Dead Ringers, Al Rapone & the Zydeco Express, The Papermill Creek Rounders, and way back in the early 1960s with the Wildwood Boys bluegrass band alongside Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter. Cage, in addition to his storied career with the NRPS, has delivered his trademark pedal steel guitar articulations with Great Speckled Bird, Stir Fried, Solar Circus, The Brooklyn Cowboys, Terry & the Pirates, and on substantial studio work with Bob Dylan and Anne Murray.

Congratulations to Austin bluegrass and Americana band Wood & Wire for their Grammy nomination today for Best Bluegrass Album! “North of Despair” came out in April of this year to rave reviews for its blending of bluegrass virtuosity and Texas songwriting tradition.
